BookNova exists to give every appointment business — from solo operators to growing teams — the tools that were once only available to the biggest players.
Our story
BookNova started in 2023 when our founders — Sarah and Marcus — watched a family friend struggle to run her busy hair salon using a patchwork of spreadsheets, SMS threads, and a manual appointment book. She was talented, her clients loved her, but she was spending more time managing the business than running it.
They set out to build something different: not just another calendar tool, but a complete operating system for appointment businesses — one that handles bookings, collects payment, sends reminders, and surfaces the business to new clients automatically.
Today, hundreds of salons, spas, clinics and wellness studios across Australia use BookNova to run their day-to-day. We’re still a small, focused team, and we still talk to our customers every week. That will never change.
